Every line is a real comment

Five cats. One rule. They take a video’s comment section and sing it back, word for word, as a tribute. If the creator wouldn’t feel celebrated, it isn’t a song.

The picture

Five cats.
One rule.

A film cut from the stage photos. The sentences in it were typed under real videos. The songs themselves are still on the stage.

Press play. One short at a time, in a player shaped like the logo. These are the live cuts. Arrow keys move through the thread.

    02 — Lineup

    The band
    is on stage.

    Mic, keys, bass, drums, guitar. They don’t write the lines. Somebody already did, under a video. The band sings that sentence back whole.

    • Verbatim, a rust-orange cat, singing into a microphone.

      @verbatim · lead vocal

      Verbatim

      Sings the line exactly as it was typed.

    • Pinned, a silver cat, playing a keyboard.

      @pinned · keys

      Pinned

      Holds the chorus where a pinned comment lives.

    • Reply, a black cat, playing bass.

      @reply · bass

      Reply

      Answers the hook. Never punches down.

    • Heart, a cream cat, playing drums.

      @heart · drums

      Heart

      Keeps time the way a thread counts likes.

    • Thread, a calico cat, playing a red electric guitar.

      @thread · guitar

      Thread

      Braids a stranger’s sentences into one song.

    03 — The rule

    Honor the person
    who posted the video.

    The comments are funny because people meant them. The song should make the creator want this for their next video.

    The video

    If the creator wouldn’t feel flattered, it doesn’t get a song. That’s the filter before the hook.

    The lines

    Every lyric is a real comment. Typed by a stranger. Sung back whole. Likes are not a license to be cruel.

    The ask

    Tribute first. The reaction we’re building is: it would be cool if the Comments Band did our video.

    Love the smile. Love the enthusiasm! Love the positivity!!!

    A real comment, sung at the end of Partial Arts

    04 — Green room

    This box is
    not a lyric.

    The band only records real comments from real videos. Anything you type here stays in this browser, on this screen. It will not be sung.

    The green room is empty. The setlist is not.
